The College of Staten Island men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams are back in action after nearly a week off tonight at the Sports & Recreation Center, at 5:00 p.m.  The men are coming off of a dominant win over Sarah Lawrence College while the women lost a close one that relied on the final two races.
Matchup:  CSI Men (4-3 Overall, 3-0 CUNYAC) Women (3-6 Overall, 2-2 CUNYAC) vs. Adelphi University Men (2-3 Overall), Women (3-2 Overall)
Where: Sports & Recreation Center – 2800 Victory Boulevard, Staten Island, NY
Meet Time:  5:00pm
Last Year’s Result:  Men: CSI lost  / Women: CSI lost
Players To Watch (CSI): For the men look for standouts Tim Sweeney and Derek Villa continue to be a successful one-two punch in the meet, as they were a year ago.  Freshman Nick Defonte has been solid as well and will look to continue to build on that success.  On the women’s side, Ewa Wojciechowska has been CSI’s most consistent threat and look for her to be valuable in the Freestyle events.  Naomi Gaggi has been putting up some valuable points as well in individual events.
Players To Watch (AU): John Rotolo will be the anchor for the men in tonight’s meet and will look to pick up some first place finishes against the Dolphins.  Heather Miller will spearhead the Panthers on the women’s side as she most recently posted a first place finish in the 50 yard freestyle on her senior night.
News and Notes: CSI and Adelphi share a common opponent in Pace University. Neither the women nor the men were able to defeat Pace while the men of Adelphi defeated Pace 120-82.
