The College of Staten Island men’s tennis squad is coming off of a convincing victory against CUNYAC opponents CCNY.  The Dolphins defeated the Beavers 8-1 and improved their record to 1-1 overall and 1-0 in the CUNYAC.  Today the Dolphins will take on Berkeley College Knights in a non-conference bout at 4:00 pm at the CSI Tennis Bubble.

Players to Watch (CSI):  The Dolphins’ no. 1 player Chris Livoti picked up a pair of wins in his last match against CCNY when he won 6-2, 6-3 in his singles match and a 8-5 win in his doubles.  Picking up another crucial win was Chris Pinto
Players to Watch (BC): Herder Pisco and Thinh Nguyen will return to lead the way for the Knights and look to steal a game away from the Dolphins as they search for a season opening win.
News and Notes: These two teams met last season and the Dolphins were able to blank the Knights, 9-0. Staten Island has started the season 1-1 and will look to move above .500 today with a win over the Knights.  The Dolphins came up just short of a CUNYAC last season as they were knocked out of the CUNYAC semifinals by Baruch College.  CSI will once again make a push for the CUNYAC title this season.
