The College of Staten Island baseball team will head to Union, NJ today to take on the Cougars of Kean University at 3:30 pm.  The Dolphins most recently had their CUNYAC opener cancelled due to bad weather over the weekend but took on Mt. St. Vincent in a doubleheader and went 1-1.

Players to Watch (CSI): Glenn Glennerster has been consistent all year for the Dolphins and is currently batting .290.  Glennerester is second on the team with 15 RBIs just two shy of Joe Palmeri who leads the way with 17.  Glennerster hit the Dolphins’ first home run of the season against Mt. St. Vincent on Wednesday enroute to a 10-0 win in game one of the doubleheader.  Nick Delprete continues to have a fine senior season and is leading the Dolphins with a .394 batting average and a .453 on base percentage.
Players to Watch (KU):  Salvatore Taormin leads the way at the plate for Kean with a .382 batting average and currently sits in third on the team with 13 RBIs. Ryan Kelley gets on base more than any other Cougar with a .461 on base percentage however he also strikes out the most on the team with 10. 
News and Notes: The reigning NJAC Champions, Kean University, is coming off a huge weekend sweep over No. 20 TCNJ which improved their overall record to 12-9 overall.  The Cougars will head into today’s game on a three game win streak while the Dolphins will come in on a one game losing skid. The Dolphins have only defeated the Cougars once in the last 19 years and that came in the 2007 season where the Dolphins won 6-5.  Since that win CSI has been outscored 69-9.
