The College of Staten Island men’s tennis squad is coming of a near four and a half hour match vs. Sarah Lawrence last night, and will get right back on to the courts tonight, taking on St. Joseph’s College of Patchogue at 5:00pm at the CSI Tennis Center.  The Dolphins are at 3-5 this season, and are hosting and Eagles team that is 1-4 overall.

Players to Watch (CSI): CSI’s top player Chris Pinto picked up his first win of the season in the pole position last night against Sarah Lawrence, putting him at 2-4 this season overall.  Mitchel Voloshin and Andrew Adia have each picked up three wins in singles, while Adia sports a 5-3 doubles record.
Players to Watch (SJC-LI):  Matt Dioguardio is sporting a healthy 3-1 mark located near the top of the lineup for SJC, while Peter Rasmussen is holding his own with a 2-2 mark at the top singles spot.
News and Notes: Today’s match could be a competitive one, as both the Eagles and Dolphins lost to Sarah Lawrence in their last respective matches by identical 5-4 scores.  The teams share two other common opponents in Purchase College and CCNY.  The Eagles sport a 0-2 record in those matches while CSI sports a 1-1 record.  CSI defeated SJC, 5-4, last year in a match that was twice cancelled due to rain.  CSI has won four of the last six meetings in the series dating back to 2010.
