The College of Staten Island men’s tennis team took a tough, 5-4, loss just yesterday against John Jay College and will follow up today with their CUNYAC regular-season finale against York College at the CSI Tennis Center at 4:00pm.  The Dolphins need to score a victory to secure at least a No. 4 position in the final CUNYAC standings that carry with it a first round home playoff game next week.

Players to Watch (CSI):  CSI’s Andrew Adia had a great afternoon yesterday, scoring big wins in singles and doubles and he will be asked to carry the team again today.  Adia is 5-5 overall in singles this season.  Matthew Vesci is also streaking, winning his last two singles matches and he leads the team with a 7-4 overall record.
Players to Watch (YC):  Robertini Regis is leading York with a couple of wins in singles, all at the No. 3 position.  Vimal Ramnarain and Felix Liew boast York’s only win in doubles play. 
News and Notes: The Dolphins will come into today’s match having split their last six matches.  York is looking to get into the win column for the first time this season.  In fact, York has lost 21 straight matches and their last win came almost two years ago on April 28, 2014.  Their last conference win came on April 12 of that year.  CSI has won the last eight meetings in the series.  York’s last win in the series came on April 24, 2007, a 6-3 win at York.
