The College of Staten Island women’s tennis team took to the road this afternoon and traveled to Galloway, NJ to take on Stockton University. The Dolphins went into today’s match on a three match winning streak but had that snapped after an 8-1 loss at the hands of the Ospreys. The loss drops the Dolphins to 3-3 on the year.
CSI struggled against the Osprey’s this afternoon. Play started with doubles and saw the Dolphins get swept 8-0 in all three doubles matches.
When play switched to singles it was Dana Friedman who was the only one to record a win for the Dolphins. Friedman picked up a 6-3 and 7-5 pair of wins to prevent her team from being shutout of the entire match.
The Dolphins will return to action on Tuesday, September 27 where they will head to the National Tennis Center to take on Baruch College at 4:00 pm.
