The College of Staten Island women’s volleyball squad leveled their record to 2-2 on the young season, scoring a straight-set win over Yeshiva University this evening in a non-conference test held at Baruch College.  The Maccabees fell to 0-6.  CSI won the match by scores of 25-21, 25-22, and 25-15.

The Dolphins were paced by Siobhan Granich’s 10 kills next to just five errors in a team high 32 attacks.  Junior Vanessa Reyes followed with eight kills.  Jessica Cafiero posted 22 assists, while Granich scored three aces and 17 digs, enough to lead the team.

Yeshiva, which had 11 participants decorate the stat sheet were led by Gavriela Colton’s eight kills and Shaina Hourizadeh’s 17 defensive digs.

The Dolphins finest offensive set came in set number two.  The Dolphins scattered 10 kills next to just two errors, goof for a .258 attack percentage.

The Dolphins improved to 5-1 all-time against Yeshiva and 3-1 all-time on the road against them.  CSI will next face off against John Jay College on Thursday at 7pm.
