All-Time Series: CSI leads 33-16
Last Meeting: Feb. 16, 2016 – CSI won 64-57
Players To Watch (CSI):  Christina Pasaturo has found her groove as of late, scoring 27 points in each of her last two games while shooting 66% from the floor and 59% from downtown.  After leading the team early in the season in rebounds Pasaturo has passed that torch over to Samantha Flecker who has been a ball hawk recently, collecting rebounds and limiting opposing teams second chance opportunities. Flecker leads the team with eight rebounds per game while contributing 14 points per game.  The Dolphins’ most efficient shooter has been Angelique Price.  Price is having a breakout season, averaging 14.4 points per game on 47% shooting from the floor and 40% three-point shooting.
Players To Watch (LC): Amely Del Rosario currently leads the nation in scoring with 28 points per game, so the Dolphins will need to draw up a game plan to limit Del Rosario’s scoring.  Del Rosario also leads the team in assists per game, sharing the ball 4.2 times per game.  Lynda Fields sits behind Del Rosario in terms of scoring this season, adding 18.5 points per game while collecting two steals per game.  On the boards Flecker will have to contend with Shakia Artist for rebounds as Artist is averaging a double-double per game with 10.8 points and 10.2 rebounds per game.
News & Notes: The Dolphins are 8-2 in the last 10 meetings against the Lightning averaging 70.1 points per game over that span.  When playing on the road against the Lightning the Dolphins have the same record as they do at home (13-6) so traveling to the APEX center doesn’t affect CSI’s offense.  Lehman College last defeated the Dolphins on their home court back on February 19, 2012 which knocked the Dolphins out of the CUNYAC tournament.  The Lightning had one of their finest seasons last year, going 20-8 overall and picking up a CUNYAC title along the way, earning them a berth to the Division III NCAA Tournament. In CUNYAC contests this season the Lightning are holding their opponents to an average of 48 points per game while the Dolphins have held their CUNYAC opponents to 53 points per game. CSI’s defense is ranked 12th in the nation as they force 26 turnovers per game.  In CSI’s two road games this season, they have matched their nationally ranked average of 26 turnovers per game, so the Dolphins’ defense should travel and be a factor in tonight’s contest.
