The College of Staten Island women’s basketball is back on their home court today for only the second time in their last eight games, and they will look to stay red-hot as they entertain York College for a 3pm conference tilt.  The Dolphins are owners of a seven-game win streak and face a Cardinals squad that has fallen in 11 of its last 12 contests.

Players To Watch (CSI):  Christina Pasaturo has been rolling through the last two months of the season and is now averaging a healthy 22.4 points per game.  She now needs just 9 more points to hit the CSI all-time single season Top 20 in CSI history.  Samantha Flecker has been turning it on of late as well, and she is averaging 15.1 per game to go with a Dolphins-best 8.3 rebounds per game.  The last time these two teams played Lina Bitar had a solid game off of the bench, posting 9 points and eight rebounds over 19 minutes of work.
Players To Watch (YC):  The Cardinals are only averaging 42.8 total points per game, and its been Evanda Redwood who is leading the way, sporting 11.8 points per game to go with 5.4 rebounds and a team-best 38 steals.  Diamond Jackson has been a force on the interior with 9.4 rebounds per game, adding 5.1 points.  Mayan Charles is also averaging 9.4 rebounds per game, and she also leads the squad with 11 blocked shots.
News & Notes: This has been a series dominated by the Dolphins as they have now won 13 in a row in the set and sport an all-time 32-2 record against the Cardinals at the Sports & Recreation Center.  York’s last win at CSI took place back in 1994.  In the early season meeting, York out-rebounded CSI 47-44, but the Dolphins forced a whopping 36 turnovers, a season high taking a 55-17 lead by halftime before coasting to the win.  Pasaturo scored 27 in the win, and it started a streak that is now at 14 games where she has posted 20+ points, a CSI record.  The Dolphins are on a seven-game win streak, their longest since 2013-14, when they reeled off 9 in a row en route to a 21-8 campaign.  After their early season loss to CSI, York won their first game of the season, recently beating Medgar Evers a second time to run their CUNYAC mark to 2-9, putting them in seventh-place in the CUNYAC standings.  The Dolphins are in first place, continuing to hold a one-game lead over both Brooklyn College and Lehman College.  The Bulldogs have a non-conference game today, while Lehman is hosting John Jay College.
