The Men’s Volleyball team is on the road to face the 2016 Defending CUNYAC Champs, Hunter College, at the Hunter Sports Complex. After splitting the tri-match with NJ City University and Sarah Lawrence, the Dolphins look for their second conference win, starting at 6:00 pm.

Players To Watch (CSI): Danil Kukovitskiy became a lethal player in last Saturday’s tri-match, where he led the team with 6 kills, 3 aces, and 2 blocks. Kukovitskiy is second on the team with 33 kills and first with 15 blocks. Mark Palencia sits at 15th in the nation in kills averaging 3.71 kills per set. Palencia leads the team with 63 kills. Adil El Haddad and Ronald Tisbe will be key factors for the Dolphins as El Haddad leads the team with 119 assists and Tisbe is first with 35 digs.
Players To Watch (HC): Ben Crusinberry (143 kills) and Michael Jazowski (105 kills) will create a dominant presence for the Hawks. Nicholas Sanchez is ranked 9th in the nation in assists with 439 overall assists and averaging 10.21 assists per set. Steven Tarquinio is first on the team with 37 blocks and Joseph Muir is first with 160 digs.
News & Notes: The Dolphins will search for their first win over the Hawks tonight. Hunter, the 2016 CUNYAC Champions, are the team to beat this season. Staten Island will have to utilize Palencia and Kukovitskiy in which both lead the team in kills and attacks. Anthony Vigilante, third on the team with 22 kills, will also need to play up to his potential and be a fatal figure behind the Dolphins’ net. Defense wins games, where Hunter is ranked 5th in the nation with a team average of 11.74 assists per set. Tisbe and Zebin Guo (second with 34 digs) will be crucial for the Dolphins defense.
