After a day break, the CSI Baseball team is back in action to host conference opponent City College of New York starting a 1pm at the CSI Baseball Complex. The Dolphins are on a three-game win streak, while the Beavers are on a two-game losing streak.

Players To Watch (CSI): In the last two games, heavy hitter, Glenn Glennerster, went 5-for-9 at the plate, including two runs and three RBIs. Glennerster also racked in two homeruns against NJCU to place him first on the team with a .397 batting average, 16 runs, 15 RBIs and three homeruns. Rookie, Nick Meola continues his commanding year with a .362 average, 13 RBIs, two homeruns, 16 runs, and is first on the team with 11 doubles. Bobby Drake starting to create a dominant presence at the plate as he is first on the team with 17 RBIs. Recently named CUNYAC Pitcher of the Week, Derek Jentz moves to the top of the pitchers list with a 1.17 ERA in 15.1 IP with 14 strikeouts, and seven walks. Star pitcher against, Mount Saint Mary’s, Josh Bernstein notched a 1.50 ERA in 12.0 IP.
Players To Watch (CCNY): Anthony Cacchinoe paces the way for the Beavers with a .353 batting average with 14 runs, one homerun, four doubles, 11 RBIs. Adrian Pena leads the team with two homeruns and 14 RBIs this season and is second with a .346 batting average. In 30.2 IP, leading pitcher Cal Romano, has a 4.70 ERA with 22 strikeouts and seven walks.
News & Notes: The Dolphins have played four back-to-back games over the course of one week, where they had a day break to prepare for City College of New York. Staten Island has dominated CCNY over the past few years, where the Beavers last win against the Dolphins was back in 2014 by a walk-off. Since then, the Dolphins have toppled CCNY by as many as 10 runs. As a team, Staten Island has a .311 batting average and the Beavers has .241. Pitching will play a key role for a win as the Dolphins have a 4.28 ERA and CCNY has a 7.59 ERA.
