The College of Staten Island men’s soccer team will play in their final regular season CUNYAC game this afternoon at 3:00 pm at the CSI Soccer Complex.  The Dolphins currently sit in fifth place within the conference while the Bloodhounds sit in second.

CSI vs ARCADIA UNIVERSITY
Matchup:  CSI (9-5-2)  vs. Arcadia (8-4-2)
Where: CSI Soccer Complex, 2800 Victory Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10314
All-Time Series: Series is tied 1-1
Last Meeting: October 22, 2016 – CSI won 2-1
Players to Watch (CSI): The Dolphins will look to score their first goal in three games today against the Knights and Philip Lefkowitz will be a big part of that attempt. Lefkowitz led the Dolphins with five shots in their last outing, nearly scoring two of his attempts. On defense, Ryan Layman will need to hold his line together to keep the Knights from finding open shots at their goalkeeper. Layman is playing the center back role this season but can be deadly moving forward as he is a converted center midfielder and can find his open teammates.
Players to Watch (AU):  Ryan Hammer leads the Knights with 18 points on the year with six goals and six assists.  Hammer has three game-winning goals and has converted three-of-four penalty kicks. Chris Watson has been the man between the pipes all season, allowing 16 goals (1.09 goals allowed per game).
News & Notes: The Dolphins and Knights don’t have any common opponents this season, however, the Knights have played two teams ranked in the top-15 while the Dolphins have played only one team in the top-15. Arcadia has played well on the road this year, boasting a record of 5-2 while Staten Island is just 4-3-1 at home. CSI has not scored a goal in 323 minutes, spanning three games. Arcadia is 1-1-1 over their last three games, scoring three goals while conceding six. This will mark the final game of the season for the Dolphins before they head into the CUNYAC Playoffs.
