The College of Staten Island swimming & diving program will open their 2017-18 season this afternoon against Mt. St. Mary at the CSI Sports & Recreation Center at 12:00 pm. The men will start their trek to repeat as CUNYAC champions while the women will look to improve upon last season.

Players to Watch (CSI): The Dolphins will lean on Nick Defonte on the men’s side as his experience will help lift up a men’s side that graduated several decorated swimmers. For the women, Ewa Wojciechowska will lead the team in the pool as she blazes through the water looking to claim first place finishes.
Players to Watch (MSMC): Shayla McCarroll paced the way for the Knights with a time of 31.66 in the 50 free while also picking up a first-place finish in the 100 back with a time of 1:07.  For the men, Michael Neugebauer earned a first-place finish for his team in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:07.
News & Notes: The Knights have had a head start on the season, participating in two meets already while the Dolphins will take to the pool for the first time this season.
