Teresa Maresca is next in line with 82, followed by Margaret O’Malley-Rebovich, who has 62 to go with a team best 32 blocks this season. Look for Cassidy Iannariello to power the back line. Players to Watch (AMC): The Falcons get great front line play from Genesis Cora Luquis as the freshman is tallying 202 kills this season 648 total attacks. Kimberly Keller is just as potent with 157 kills and sports a healthy .236 attack percentage. Keller has also been a thorn in the side of opposite attackers, posting 43 blocks (29 solo). Jeselle Guzman is the team’s defensive anchor, as she sports a team-best 350 digs this season.
News & Notes: This has been a dormant matchup for many years as these two teams have not met since 1994, a 2-1 CSI win in New Haven, CT, back when the sport did not employ rally scoring. It was the first and only meeting between the two sides. The Dolphins are 3-5 overall at home this season, while the Falcons are 7-8 in games played away from their home court. The two teams share three common opponents: CCNY, Medgar Evers, and New Jersey City University. AMC is 3-0 against those teams while CSI is 3-1. They fell to NJCU, 3-0, while Albertus Magnus scored a 3-2 victory against the Gothic Knights.
