The College of Staten Island women’s tennis season is in full swing, and the men will get their turn this spring.  They will intro the excitement with the announcement of their 2018 schedule.  Consisting of 16 matches, CSI will begin in late-March and extend through the early stages of May with the hopes of representing at the national stage as CUNYAC Champs at the NCAA Championship Tournament.

The 2018 campaign will officially be introduced on the road and within conference play as CSI will face John Jay College on March 20 at the National Tennis Center.  Five days later, CSI’s home opener features a date with a tough Rutgers – Newark team coming into the CSI Tennis Center for a 1:00pm matinee.  Following a road test, CSI will intro CUNYAC play on their home turf with a match against perennial CUNYAC powers Baruch College on March 30.

The week of spring break will see CSI play five matches in seven days, with four against conference opponents.  That will close out the CUNYAC posrtion of their schedule early (April 9), and CSi will finalize with six-straight non-conference games, a run that includes a stop across town to take on NCAA Division I Wagner College on April 16 at 4pm.  The Regular Season will conclude on home turf when CSI hosts FDU-Florham on April 22 at 3pm.

The CUNYAC Postseason Championship will feature six teams, with play kicking off on April 27 at higher seeded quarterfinal sites.  The CUNYAC Semifinals and Final will be held at the National Tennis Center in Flushing, NY on April 29 and May 3, respectively.  The winner of the tournament earned an automatic berth into the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament.  

All CSI home games are free and are CLUE-Certified (PG) for all students.
