The College of Staten Island men’s basketball team will look to break their losing skid tonight against the Cougars of Medgar Evers College.  The Dolphins have not lost at home to the Cougars since February 9, 2016, a streak of three straight.

Players to Watch (CSI): Adeola Latunji had a strong game against the Cougars earlier in the season, scoring 25 points.  Latunji paces the Dolphins with 16.1 points per game while also leading with six rebounds per game. Raymond Savage recorded his first career double-double against the Cougars with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Savage has been effective from behind the arc this season, leading his team with 39% shooting while averaging 7.2 points per game.
Players to Watch (MEC): Justin Sutton poured in 16 points in the last meeting while also dishing out a pair of assists. Sutton is second on the team in scoring, averaging 16.8 points per game.  Basheeru Camara led the way on the boards with 10 rebounds while adding seven points. Maurice Swaby II is the most potent scorer for the Cougars, netting 21 points per game. Swaby II was held to just seven points in the last outing and will look to adjust his numbers in the rematch.
News & Notes: In the last five meetings, the Dolphins have won four of the last five averaging 89 points per game while holding the Cougars to 67 points. At The Tank, the Dolphins are 31-8 against the Cougars. Medgar Evers has struggled on the road this season, posting a 3-7 record. In the last five outings, the Cougars have won just once which came against York College on January 22. Staten Island is being outrebounded this season by an average of two per game. The Dolphins’ active defense has led to an average of 19 points off of turnovers per game.
