The College of Staten Island baseball squad looks to finally get on the diamond for the first time since March 18 which took place on a neutral site. Today’s game is a reschedule after the snow on Wednesday forced the game to be moved to a later date.

Players to Watch (CSI): Sean Becker remains atop the list with a .368 batting average while recording five RBI, good for second on the team. Glenn Glennerster is batting .250 on the season but leads the Dolphins with five doubles and sits second with 14 total bases. Nick Meola will put his power on display this afternoon as he paces the Dolphins with two home runs on the year while hitting .241. On the mound, it has been Christian Capellan leading the way with a 1.40 ERA in 18 innings pitched with a team-high 18 strikeouts.
Players to Watch (KU): Nick Polizzano leads the charge for the Cougars with a .333 batting average through 17 games. He also clears the bases during his at-bats with a team-high 9 RBI. Matt Krupa is batting .302 on the year and has three doubles and four RBI, both good for second on the team. Jim Fitzgerald gets on base 40% of the time and when he does he likes to use his speed to get extra bases. Fitzgerald has attempted seven steals this season with four of them being successful.
News & Notes: After losing seven straight, the Cougars finally picked up a win against Alvernia on March 19th to stop their losing skid. The Dolphins have won three of their last five which included a 4-1 win over Maine Presque Isle. The Cougars have won 10 straight against the Dolphins dating back to the 2008 season. CSI has picked up just three of their eight wins against the Cougars on the road in their history and will look to pick up their fourth this afternoon.
