The College of Staten Island softball squad will finally step on their field to compete for the first time since returning from Tucson, Arizona on March 11.

Players to Watch (CSI): Patricia Riches paces the Dolphins with a .364 batting average, while also being tied for the lead with three doubles. Vanessa Jioia is third on the team with a .227 batting average but leads the team with five RBI and a triple. In the field, Jamie Holmes boasts a perfect fielding percentage and a team-high 48 putouts. Nicolette will look to get her arm going as she leads the team with a 3.97 ERA in 24.2 innings pitched.
Players to Watch (SJC-LI): Kristen Arbiter leads the team with a .526 batting average with a pair of home runs and a team-high four doubles. Franzelyn Russo is quick around the bases and has used her speed to steal five bases so far this season. Theresa Cardello cleans the bases for the Golden Eagles, as he leads the team with eight RBI and just three strikeouts. Cardello pulls double duty as the teams leading pitcher, pitching in 16 innings with a 1.31 ERA with 16 strikeouts.
News & Notes: In the lasts five meetings the Dolphins have won four of them by an average of one run. This will be the first meeting between the two teams since their last in 2015 which saw the Dolphins take both games. Neither team has scored double-digit runs in the last five outings with the Golden Eagles coming close in their 9-3 win back in 2014. St. Joseph’s – LI last played on Tuesday, March 27 against John Jay College and won both, one of which went into extra innings. Prior to those wins, they were 0-4 on the year with just one game ending in five innings.
