As Ethics Officer for the College Staten Island, I am sending this friendly reminder that the time has come to report the receipt of any honoraria received by CUNY employees over the prior year. 19 NYCRR Part 930 provides that while non-academic employees of CUNY are required to seek approval prior to accepting honoraria, CUNY faculty are exempt from this requirement of prior approval.

Importantly, both non-academic CUNY employees and CUNY faculty are required to report the receipt of any and all honoraria for the prior year. As such, please advise of any honoraria that you have received for the period from Apr. 1, 2017 through Mar. 31, 2018. The information should include speaking fees, reimbursed travel expenses, or payments received for writing and/or presenting written materials.

Records of honoraria must be submitted to my office by Tuesday, May 1, 2018. Links to the reporting forms are as follows:

For non-faculty: Employee Report of Receipt of Honoraria Form (doc) (link)

For full and part-time faculty: CUNY Faculty Report of Receipt of Honoraria Form (doc) (link)

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at at ext 2355 or via email at robert.wallace@csi.cuny.edu.

Thank you for your attention to the matter.
