The College of Staten Island baseball squad returns to action tonight in Mahwah, NJ to take on non-conference opponents, Ramapo College.

Players to Watch (CSI): Sean Becker’s late-game homer against John Jay last night now his him tied with Nick Meola for the lead with two home runs. Becker has also been extremely patient at the plate this season, tallying a team-high 12 walks and is a perfect 3-for-3 in stolen bases. Meola sits atop his team with 12 RBI and is second with a .339 batting average with a team-high seven doubles. Glenn Glennerster is batting .265 on the year and has the least amount of strikeouts on the team with just five. Tom Musso picked up his first save of the season last night, coming in and securing the final out for the Dolphins. Musso has pitched 19.2 innings this season and leads the team with a 3.20 ERA with 24 strikeouts. 
Players to Watch (RC): Vincenzo Sita leads the Roadrunners with a .367 batting average as well as 17 RBI. Sita has collected 10 of his teams 41 doubles this season, turning that into 17 runs scored, the most on the team. Bobby Shannon shares the lead with 17 RBI with a .313 batting average. Shannon reaches base 37% of the time and once he’s on, uses his speed to get around the bases. Shannon has been successfully seven out of 10 times when stealing. Jerry D’Andrea paces the Roadrunners with a 2.47 ERA, pitching in 43.2 innings.  D’Andrea has tallied 43 strikeouts, second only to Cory Heitler’s 66. 
News & Notes: Previous to last years 12-inning stunner the Roadrunners had won five straight against the Dolphins, three of which took place at Ramapo College. When playing in Mahwah, NJ, the Dolphins are 6-10 compared to 5-6 at home. Ramapo College comes into tonight’s game on a two-game losing skid while Staten Island has won two straight. The Dolphins have struggled on the road this season, posting a 3-7 record while the Roadrunners are 5-2 on their home diamond. Ramapo and Staten Island have just two common opponents this season, Maritime which the Dolphins lost a pair, while the Roadrunners won their game. The other was Kean University. CSI dropped a 10-inning game to Kean while Ramapo split with them in a conference matchup.
