Christian Dumadag and Zebin Guo were the two other Dolphins that helped lift the Dolphins to taking their first ever set against the Gothic Knights. Guo also led the team with 11 digs, while Herman Liu tallied the lone block for the Dolphins. Liu has used his size this season to adjust opposing hitters’ trajectory to allow his team to continue play.
Players to Watch (PC): Luke Kubisch leads the Panthers with 160 kills on the year while sitting in second on the team with 15 blocks. In his last meeting with the Dolphins, Kubisch tallied 9 kills on 41 total attacks. Andreo Otiniano tallied 16 assists against the Dolphins with Chris Williams protecting the back line with a team-high 22 digs.
News & Notes: Staten Island has won three of their last five matches and will come into tonight’s match confident they can close out their home season with a win. The Panthers come into the match on a three-game win streak and will look to carry that momentum over to tonight as they tune-up for their conference playoffs. The Panthers have dominated this series winning the first three meetings until the Dolphins swept Purchase earlier this year.
