The College of Staten Island women’s basketball troop travel to Jamaica, NY tonight for a CUNYAC bout with York College. CSI comes into tonight’s game boasting a six-game win streak this season while York is coming off of a CUNYAC win over Lehman College.

Players to Watch (CSI): Rosa Perone is coming off of a dominating performance against Medgar Evers, tallying 16 points on 6-of-13 shooting from the floor. Perone’s 16-point night broke a five-game stretch in which she was held under 10 point. Perone will be a factor on the boards as she uses her height to pull down rebounds and give the Dolphins second-chance opportunities. Cristina Camerlengo is a threat whenever she enters the game, as she has the ability to score from any spot on the court. Camerlengo is shooting 27% from 3-point range which is second on the team (50+ attempts). Diana Todaro and Kayla Schmitter are dangerous around the rim as they both have the ability to sink mid-range jumpers as well as drive to the rim.
Players to Watch (YC): Ellma Hodzic scored 24 points in her last outing against Lehman College, helping her team to snap their three-game losing skid. Mac-Dege Dessources was held under her average when she grabbed just 9 rebounds in the win. For the year, Dessources leads the nation with 16.1 rebounds per game while also averaging 9.8 points per game. Dessources also sits 7th with 55 blocked shots, just 10 behind the nation’s leader. Dayana Jacome is second on the squad with two assists per game and also collects 1.2 steals per game. 
News & Notes: The Dolphins have won four of the last five meetings with the Cardinals, winning by 30+ in their four wins. The Dolphins last lost to the Cardinals in Jamaica, NY back in 2010 by a score of, 64-59. Five of the Dolphins’ 8 losses came away from home while they’ve picked up 28 wins in York’s house. As a team, the Cardinals are averaging 50 points per game while allowing their opponents to score 70.  CSI comes in averaging 66 points per game and beating their opponents by 12 points.
