In what has been a history-making season, the College of Staten Island will be making their debut in their first-ever postseason championship, as they get ready for the CUNYAC Indoor Track & Field Championship this afternoon at The Armory in Manhattan. Originally scheduled for a 5pm start, opening time was moved up to 1pm, and the Dolphins are looking to make some noise today in their varsity debut.

Players to Watch (CSI): Across the board the Dolphins will be seeking personal-bests today as they save some of their best runs and field events for this showcase. On the men’s side, distance threats Liam McMunn and Spencer Milito have been putting up times that should leave them in contention this afternoon and sprinters like Jordan Thompson and David Outlaw will make sure the Dolphins gobble up points and good positioning. Canaan Rodriguez will be featured in field events with depth provided by Daniel Palmieri and Justin Fernandez in a series of events. On the women’s side, Deavion Brown and Kharyn Ethridge have been impressing with great times all year and expect them to highlight a great effort by the women today. Tristiana Adragna will also be on hand for distance events as will the likes of Rachel Edmonds and Cassidy Iannariello as well in shorter runs.
News & Notes: With every race that is fared CSI will be making history as this is their first official entry ever as a varsity team in Indoor Track & Field competition. There are a total of 20 track events beginning at 1pm that will extend until approximately 5:30pm this evening. The 10 field events on hand today begin at approximately 12:45pm. although tickets to the CUNYAC Championship are free, there is a fee for entering The Armory charged by the facility itself.
