Jamaica, NY | There will be plenty to cheer about tonight at York College as the College of Staten Island Cheerleading team will be showcasing at the annual CUNYAC Championship, vying for the right to repeat as CUNYAC Champions. The Dolphins claimed their first CUNYAC Championship since 2012 and their third overall last year in front of a raucous crowd at York College and will look to do it again tonight. Alongside the competition involved, there will also be competitions in other categories such as jumping, stunting and tumbling, and CSI’s hopes to compete in those events as well.
Last year the Dolphins scored 76.2 points to take the event, with John Jay coming in second and Lehman taking third.
