Chester, PA | In their first-ever scored track and field event in program history, the College of Staten Island participated on Day Two of the two-day Danny Curran Invitational hosted by Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania.  The CSI women placed 19th overall among the 29 competing teams, while the men placed 29th overall.

WOMEN’S MEET
1,500 – Kharyn Ethridge posted a time of 5:06.15, placing 1st in the meet’s fourth heat and 25th overall in the field of over 100.

100 – In the 100-meter Dash, freshman Deavion Brown continued her torrid pace, posting a time of 12.63 which was good for the bronze medal and six points in the field of 83.  Fresh off of the basketball court, Brianna Robisky posted a time of 15.12 for 61st place while Vassageia Watson came in right after at 15.13.  Nicole Mignone was last to cross, posting a time of 16.29 for 78th.

800 – Kharyn Ethridge was in her second run, scoring a time of  2:28.01, good for 24th overall. Victoria DeBernardo also participated, putting up a time of 3:06.80 which placed her 100th.

200 – Brown would score four more points in the 200-meter Dash.  She would post a time of 25.97, good for 5th overall in the field of 120.  Watson and Ommiya Butt also participated in the race.

Long Jump – Sarah Andes finished tops for CSI with a 44th place finish in the long jump with a top distance of 3.82 meters.  Vanessa Mansur was 46th at 3.80.  Tracey Simon was in next at 3.05 (49th), followed by Cassidy Iannariello at 1.23.

MEN’S MEET
1,500 – Liam McMunn posted a time of 4:16.26, coming in 57th overall in the field of 130.  David Outlaw participated in the race as well, posting a solid time of 4:26.57, good for 88th.  Spencer Milito was the 105th finisher, posting a time of 4:38.11.  Ahmed Khodir finished 122nd with a time of 4:56.84.  Daniel Palmieri came in at 5:17.93 for 124th, while Trevin Robinson recorded a time of 5:28.88 for 127th.

400 – Jordan Thompson became CSI’s top finisher with a 51st place finish in the 400-meter dash with a time 53.20.  

100 – CSI freshman Jared Nusser had a great week last week and he continued that pace with a time of 11.74 in the 100-meter Dash, good for 38th overall.  In 58th was Wilson Esguerra at 12.12.  Olatian Okeowo was 78th with a time of 12.62.

800 – McMunn had another great run with a 22nd place run in the 800-meter Run, with a time of 2:00.99.  Outlaw posted a time of 2:06.68 for 79th overall.  Jaron Thompson’s time of 2:10.75 posted 88th overall.  Khodir, Milito, and Robinson also participated.

200 – Jared Nusser was back at it in his signature race, and he posted a time of 23.27, good for 32nd overall in the field of 119 runners. Esguerra was next to cross in the event, followed by Okeowo.

4×400 – CSI’s team came in 8th out of 19 at the race, with the team of Esguerra, Outlaw, Jordan Thompson and Nusser putting up a time of 3:32.44.
