Fresh off of their first outdoor meet of the season last weekend, which was also their first as a college varsity program, the College of Staten Island will look to build on their successes with a run at the Danny Curran Invitational hosted by Widener University in Pennsylvania

CSI @ DANNY CURRAN INVITATIONAL
Where: Widener University – One University Place, Chester, PA
Live Stats: https://live.pioneertiming.com/meets/1572
Last Meeting: First time participating
Players to Watch (CSI):  The Dolphins will have their usual cast at the Danny Curran Invitational.  The men’s group will be led on teh track by Liam McMunn and Spencer Milito while Jordan Thompson will look to surge ahead in the shorter distance courses with David Outlaw.  Justin Fernandez will be looking to improve on his times as well and look for the supporting cast of Wilson Esguerra and Jaron Thompson to improve as well.  Freshman Jared Nusser had a great opening last weekend and took CUNYAC Rookie of the Week honors and will look to improve on his exception scores in the short dash events.  On the women’s side, the group has been led tremendously by freshman Deavion Brown and reigning CUNYAC Performer of the Week Kharyn Ethridge.  Rachel Edmonds was also terrific in field events last week and will look to score some points today as well.
News & Notes:  Unlike last week’s meet, this week’s meet at Widener will be a scored meet, so teams that finish in the top eight in each respective race should earn points.  Last week’s meet was unscored.  That means for the Dolphins that this will be their first-ever scored meet in Outdoor Track & Field in their program’s history.
