Players to Watch (SJC-BK): The Bears are getting good production from Anthony Palermo, who has raised his average to .337 and leads the team with seven doubles, three triples and three homers.  He also has a team-high 25 RBI and his 17 runs scored is second on the squad.  Adam Schwartz, who bats .280, leads the team with 24 runs plated, and has bagged a team best five triples.  William DeLuca has flashed some power.  he is hitting .244 but sports seven extra-base hits with three home runs.  Look for Vincent Juliano and Daniel Egan to likely log some inning today.  Juliano is 1-2 with a 9.92 ERA and Egan is 1-5 with a 15.84 ERA.
News & Notes: CSI has won 11 of the 17 all-time meetings between the sides but lately the Bears have had the better of it winning three of the last four games in the series, including a doubleheader sweep in 2016.  CSI took a 4-3 win in 2017 and after not playing last year, St. Joseph’s returned the favor earlier this season, 10-9.  SJC is 5-9-1 this season on the road.  After a great start to the season, they recently suffered a 9-game losing skid from April 1-14.  They bounced back to defeat St. Joseph’s Long Island, 4-3, but then fell to NYU on Wednesday, 6-1.  CSI, meanwhile, was sporting a season-long four-game win streak but have now lost two in a row with a pair of tight losses to the College of Mount Saint Vincent, 4-3, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, 6-5.
