The College of Staten Island is seeking a full-time head coach for both men’s and women’s cross-country and indoor and outdoor track & field programs. The position also carries administrative duties as the coordinator of athletic operations. The candidate will take over for former coach Jason McFall, who stepped away from the position last week. As coach, the position will be responsible for the administration, supervision, management, and student-athlete selection for program. Applicant will be responsible for areas of scheduling, strategy, recruitment, conditioning and player development to enhance athletic performance and achievement, coupled with a keen focus on academic excellence. Responsibilities to also include fund-raising initiatives and programming.
As the coordinator of athletic operations the candidate will have daily oversight and execution of team contracts, transportation, meals, and officiating, while serving as a hub for schedule changes and cancellations.
The position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, valid Drivers License, and a minimum of four years of coaching experience with preference given to collegiate coaching experience.
