The College of Staten Island Men’s & Women’s Swimming & Diving teams are gearing for a productive 2019-20, and has unveiled their schedule of the upcoming season that features a lot of action at the Sports & Recreation Center. The two-semester sport will see plenty of action in both halves, leading up to the Metropolitan Swimming & Diving Championships in late February.
CSI will begin their competitive strokes on Saturday, October 26, when they take on FDU – Florham at 12 Noon. It will be the first of six-straight home matches for the women’s unit, four in a row for the men.
Six of the Dolphins’ contests on the women’s side will be against the familiar CUNYAC, four for the men’s side. They start that lineup at home against York College during their early home stand. The next day, the women-only will play against both John Jay College and Hunter College. The following week, CSI will host familiar opponent, Baruch College. CSI’s first road test will in the chilly month of December, when they travel to The Bronx for a clash with Lehman College at 6pm.
CSI will close their regular season with their first head-to-head tilt with NCAA Division II competition, when they welcome in Adelphi University on January 18, at 12pm, what will also be Senior Day at CSI.
February marks postseason month at CSI. The Dolphins will prep for an entry into the CUNYAC Postseason Championship Meet, where they can earn individual medals, and then the attention will turn to the Metropolitan Swimming & Diving Championships held at Rutgers University in Piscataway, NJ.
