The College of Staten Island Women’s Soccer program will begin their season on Friday, bringing with them a championship pedigree and conference domination that they will look to hold up in this upcoming season of firsts. The program’s first foray into the NCAA Division II ranks will hold a small handful of competition within DII, as well as the familiar CUNYAC regular season backdrop, where CSI hasn’t dropped a game in almost three years. With just a small nucleus returning and a heavy influx of new talent the team will look to be an instant contender once, setting the stage for a great run under second-year head coach Brittany Casares.
