Many thanks to those of you who generously participated in #CSITUESDAY – our day to raise scholarship funds. CSI raised $7,737 from 52 donors. This marks the most raised on a #CSITUESDAY, achieving $77% of the $10,000 goal.
Special thanks for the support of our three volunteer boards: the CSI Foundation, the CSI Alumni Association, and The Friends of CSI, who provided $3,000 in matching funds for the first $1,000 we raised.
Kudos to MaryJeanne Hennessy, Jodi Merendino, and the Auxiliary Services dining staff for partnering in this effort by making it easy to round up purchases for donations at the Cafeteria and Park Café; and Student Government President Fatu Amara, SEEK student Steven Gordillo, Verrazano School student volunteers, Sal Caruso, and Danny the Dolphin for their creativity on social media to spread the word and their enthusiasm yesterday in the Cafeteria.
The real success of #CSITUESDAY will be the tremendous impact that dollars raised for scholarships will have when we put them to work for our students.
