The Division of Student Affairs/ Office of Student Life is excited to announce that the 2020 – 2021 CSI Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) Application is now available for CSI students to apply. The ELP  program provides students with opportunities to develop and enhance their philosophy of leadership that along with skill building, includes an understanding of self, others, and our community, as well as the responsibilities that come along with leadership. The importance of college leadership programs is widely recognized by CUNY institutions, employers,  and by our students themselves.  These students will leave CSI as skillful and accomplished leaders from diverse backgrounds who will be moving into major leadership positions in our local, national, and global organizations. 

All  applicants must be full-time students, have a minimum GPA of 2.5, and have between 20 and 96 credits by the Fall 2020 semester. 

Landing a great job today requires more than just a college diploma. Student leaders gain valuable skills, networks, experience, and knowledge through their positions and involvement on campus and can leverage these skills when they apply for internships and full-time jobs after graduation.  Growing and sharpening these skills will enable students to achieve their employment and life goals. Success is not an accident, nor does it happen by chance.

The typical curriculum includes: (Subject to change pending campus status)

·       Six leadership workshops offered each semester by CSI faculty and staff. 

·       Students will complete 50 hours of volunteer service for the year.

·       All applicants must be a full-time student and have a minimum GPA of 2.5. 

·       Students from all academic majors are encouraged to apply.  

·       Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis through Friday, May 29, 2020 at 5:00pm.

In order to complete the application, students will have to log in to CSI Connect with their CIX email and SLAS Password.  Admitted students will be required to attend a mandatory three day orientation program on Aug. 3, 4,  and 6, 2020.
