Dean Sarolta Takács presents: HSS in Action – Critical Confrontations Series: “Confronting Elitism and Racism in the University: A View from CSI” with Matt Brim, Professor of Queer Studies in the English Department at CSI, with a faculty appointment at The Graduate Center, CUNY in the Women’s and Gender Studies MA Program. The lecture will take place via Zoom on Thursday, Dec. 10 from 2:30pm to 4:00pm.

Join us for a celebration and discussion of the publication of Professor Matt Brim’s newest book, Poor Queer Studies: Confronting Elitism in the University (Duke University Press, 2020). Hosu Kim, PhD, Associate Professor of Sociology, will serve as moderator. This event is sponsored by the Office of the Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences.
