CSI Professor Racquel J. Gates Participating in New Podcast

Racquel J. Gates, Associate Professor of Cinema Studies in the Department of Media Culture, is one of several acclaimed scholars who is participating in the new podcast Spectacle: An Unscripted History of Reality TV.

A widely recognized expert on the subject of reality TV, Prof. Gates addressed the meaning of its complex representations of race most prominently in her book Double Negative: The Black Image & Popular Culture (Duke University Press, 2018).
