Professor and Director of the Master’s of Social Work program at the College of Staten Island Barbra Teater is the co-winner of the 2020 International Award for The Journal of Aging and Social Change. Her article, “Livable and Age-Friendly Communities: A Scoping Review of Conceptual Frameworks,” which she co-authored with Jill Chonody, PhD, MSW, LCSW, Associate Professor of Social Work at Boise State University, was selected, according to the Journal, “for the award from among the highest-ranked articles emerging from the peer-review process and according to the selection criteria outlined in the peer-review guidelines.”
