With the start of the Fall 2021 semester only weeks away, we would like to share with you some exciting news. The Faculty Center for Professional Development, in addition to its existing virtual drop-in and faculty one-on-one training sessions, has launched a program of new and expanded training modules specifically for CSI instructors.

This new sequence of learning opportunities has been designed to help CSI faculty navigate the multitude of course modalities now present, including all forms of Web/technology-enhanced hybrid and the new HyFlex model currently being piloted by CUNY Central. The new training modules are designed to provide the instructional design knowledge and support needed to further prepare you for the Fall 2021 semester, and help you move ahead with creating your courses across all modes of instruction.

All of the learning modules listed online are designed to be a self-paced, and when completed, will provide you with a completion certificate that can be used to access the higher-level modules, as well as, future training workshops and/or modules.

We will also be continuing our popular Drop-in Center sessions. There is no need to register, all of our Drop-in sessions can be accessed by using the Virtual Drop-in Center buttons located on the main page of the Faculty Center Info Hub (CSI) Bb Organization available to all teaching faculty at CSI.

Please note, the above sessions are open and as such, you may encounter other faculty; if you need individual, one-on-one pedagogy and/or LMS assistance, please contact Faculty Center Training Program Coordinator, Kristen Lindtvedt directly at kristen.lindtvedt@csi.cuny.edu to arrange a private one-hour session.

Have a great week.
