Students are encouraged to discuss the language requirement with their college adviser to find out how many semesters of language study are required for their specific program of study. Students whose CSI official records indicate a foreign high school degree from a non-English speaking country will receive an automatic exemption from the foreign language requirement. Students who have previously studied one of the languages taught at CSI or are heritage speakers of one of the languages taught at CSI, should plan to take the online Fast Track Exam to be “fast-tracked” and reduce the number of semesters of language study required.
