The College of Staten Island was ranked second in EDsmart’s recently released list of the Best Physical Therapy Schools. Criteria included whether the institution is a four-year public or private school, a starting post-graduation salary of more than $25K, and the ten listed schools were ranked by average net cost.
Zaghloul Ahmed, Chairperson of the CSI Physical Therapy Department stated, “We are very proud to see our CSI Doctor of Physical Therapy program recognized at the national level. I can attribute this success of our program to four main factors: (1) highly dedicated faculty who are experts in their area of specialization; (2) a very good advisement mechanism in which students receive constant guidance throughout the program to keep them engaged and motivated; (3) well-organized dynamic curriculum that is continuously assessed and updated to meet professional needs; (4) diverse partnership with clinical training sites throughout the country and abroad.”
In its listing for CSI, EDsmart noted that “The program promises an excellent clinical foundation with a CUNY tuition and the opportunity of a rewarding career as a physical therapist after graduating from this program. There are many reasons to choose CUNY CSI for your physical therapy education including low tuition, small individualized class sizes, world-class faculty, and so much more. Students will have the opportunity to work with researchers renowned for their work and who add richness to this rigorous curriculum. As you begin your clinical work to gain hands-on experience, you’ll have the opportunity to choose from over 230 clinical sites to ensure you find one that fits your needs and specializations.”
