I would like to thank all of you who put together proposals to be considered by the CUNY Black Racial an Ethnic Studies Initiative Committee. Sixteen proposals were submitted, covering a wide variety of campus climate, curricular development, and research initiatives. I would also like to offer my thanks to Rosemary Frangoulis from the Office of Sponsored Projects and Associate Provost Dante Tawfeeq, who provided timely and essential help to all submitting proposals.
