Dr. Curley lent insight into why the fly’s population is so robust in the Northeast. The piece, written by Kayla Simas, centers around a new app that tracks the killing of the backyard pest through a leaderboard and tracks kill locations, which essentially helps track where the population of spotted lantern flies is nesting and traveling to.
