The CSI Library is proud to announce that we have become an access site for Yale’s Fortunoff Video Archive for Holocaust Testimonies.
The Yale Fortunoff Archive currently holds more than 4,400 video testimonies of Holocaust witnesses, totaling more than 12,000 hours. The interviews record the memories of those with first-hand experience of the Nazi persecutions, including those who were in hiding, survivors, bystanders, resistants, and liberators.
To access the testimonies, you must create a free Fortunoff account, and you must be signed into your account, whether on and off campus, to use the site. Note: while off campus, you will also be prompted for your CUNYFirst login, as with all other electronic resources. If you have any issues, please follow the instructions on our Fortunoff FAQ or check out Fortunoff’s instructions and tutorial video.
We hope you will find this important resource useful. As always, don’t hesitate to contact the Library with any questions.
