The Faculty Center at the College of Staten Island held an Open House today in the Library (208), the first networking and professional development session of the semester for the many faculty in attendance.
The event, held over four hours on Thursday, served as a chance for faculty to take in a series of information training sessions, take professional headshots, and get first-hand information about the resources that the Faculty Center offers.
Presentations made at the kickoff event consisted of a “New Course on Activist Media & Antiracism,” “Integrating Computational Literacies in Teacher Education across the Disciplines,” and “Community Spectacular Initiative Museum,” as well as an ongoing video presentation of “The Afterlives of Willowbrook: A Teaching Diary.”
Refreshments and great conversations were had, organized by the Faculty Center team of Wilma Jones, Fausto Canela, and Michael Castelli.
