As some of you are aware, the campus community recently lost access to submit events to the master CUNY Calendar. This was due to a change in the CUNY inputting system. Submissions to this calendar appear on the CSI Homepage in the CSI Campus Events box in the middle of the page, and directly to the CSI Calendar, outlining events and programs to the CSI and outside communities, providing a valuable service to our campus. 

We are pleased to report that a new portal has been formed to allow the College community to resume submissions to the Calendar. The submission portal is accessible using the “Submit an Event” link under the “News and Events” tab on the CSI Homepage or can be accessed directly HERE. Submissions will then be uploaded to the Calendar in the order in which they are received.

Here are a few guidelines to ensure a proper posting of your event to the Calendar:

  • Provide as much information as possible and be sure to fill in all required fields.
  • Be sure to include the full Web address link if your event requires a registration or any sort of Website correspondence.
  • Please provide a contact number and an end time for the event.
  • Please allow at least 48 hours for event submissions to appear on the Calendar.
  • If you have an emergency posting for the Calendar, please make a submission and contact events@csi.cuny.edu for follow-up processing.

We hope that everyone will make use of this new submission system and that you interact with the Calendar to see the many great events happening at the College of Staten Island.
