SafeZone Training offers an opportunity for faculty, staff, and administrators to learn how to be allies to LGBTQ+ students. This two-hour training introduces issues that LGBTQ+ students face and explores how everyone can help make CSI a more welcoming place for students to thrive. We will explore terminology, affirming language, preferred methods, and engage in self-reflection. All full-time faculty, adjunct faculty, and professional staff are welcome. Twenty spaces are available for each training session.

The presentation will be conducted by Jeremiah Jurkiewicz, LGBTQ Resource Center/Social Justice Coordinator, Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

By the Faculty Center Team: Wilma Jones, Fausto Canela, and Michael Castelli
