The College of Staten Island was recently recognized by University Herald on an exclusive list of just ten schools nationally that are offering the highest quality education among colleges with high acceptance rates. CSI ranked No. 2 overall and was one of only two colleges in New York State mentioned on the list.

Of their No. 2 ranking, behind only Bismarck State College in North Dakota, University Herald said, “(CSI) embraces the diversity of New York, providing accessible education with a commitment to excellence.”

The list by University Herald emphasizes colleges challenging the notion that accessibility compromises academic rigor. Rather, colleges with high acceptance rates often recognize and meet the increasing needs of students who learn in myriad ways and who are from diverse backgrounds, providing them with dynamic educational experiences and opportunities for success.

As a comprehensive college and the only public institution of higher learning in the Borough, CSI offers high acceptance rates for its Associate’s Degree programs, allowing students to seamlessly matriculate and excel into its Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees programs in over 80 academic disciplines.
