As we near the completion of the Spring academic semester and continue to prepare for the upcoming Commencement and related events, please be advised of the following:  

Effective immediately, all entering the College campus must have their College of Staten Island DolphinCard or CUNY ID card on them at all times, which must be presented when asked by a member of Public Safety (Information on how to obtain your DolphinCard can be found online.) Please note, you must have an active DolphinCard to enter the Library. All other Library visitors must sign in with Security inside Building 1L before gaining entry.

All vehicles parking on campus must have a valid virtual parking permit or daily parking pass through Parking Services (Information on obtaining parking permits can be found online.  

Pedestrian and vehicle access to campus may be made as follows:   

  • The Main Gate entrance and exit on Victory Blvd by the Public Safety Office will be open to vehicles and pedestrians from 6:30am to 11:00pm for general use. From 11:00pm through 6:30am, only residents of Dolphin Cove, Dolphin Cove visitors, or those having legitimate business on campus will be allowed entry.
  • The Rear Gate entrance and exit (D Gate) on Forest Hill Road will be closed to vehicles and pedestrians through today, Apr. 30. It will re-open effective tomorrow, May 1 between the hours of 6:45am to 10:45pm. 

Vendors, contractors, alumni, and others who are conducting business at or with the College of Staten Island should contact the appropriate office prior to visiting campus.

Please also ensure that you familiarize yourself with the CUNY Rules for Maintenance of Public Order, as we want to ensure that everyone is able to focus on their studies and enjoy the upcoming celebratory events without disruption.

Please keep in mind that these rules include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Unauthorized occupancy of the University/College facilities or blocking access to or from such areas is prohibited. Permission from appropriate College authorities must be obtained for removal, relocation, and use of University/College equipment and/or supplies; and
  • Action may be taken against any and all persons who have no legitimate reasons for their presence on any campus within the University/College, or whose presence on any such campus obstructs and/or forcibly prevents others from the exercise of their rights or interferes with the institution’s educational processes or facilities, or the rights of those who wish to avail themselves of any of the institution’s instructional, personal, administrative, recreational, and community services.
