On a beautiful summer evening last week, the College of Staten Island hosted a memorable Alumni Mixer that brought together distinguished alumni from the Macaulay Honors College, Verrazzano Honors Program, and Teacher Education Honors Academy. The event began with an exclusive tour of Nicotra Grown, the organic rooftop farm atop Corporate Commons Three at 1441 South Avenue, followed by a delightful dinner at Pienza Brick Oven Pizza Café.

Jennifer Miller, President of the CSI Alumni Association Board, welcomed guests to the gathering and introduced CSI President Timothy G. Lynch, who expressed his gratitude for the alumni’s continued commitment to the College. President Lynch recognized the significant contributions of the College’s alumni, whose achievements continue to inspire and elevate CSI’s reputation. Special acknowledgment was also given to members of the Alumni Board of Directors for their unwavering support of the College.

A highlight of the evening was the acknowledgment of Richard and Lois Nicotra, whose vision and generosity have profoundly impacted Staten Island. President Lynch praised the Nicotras for transforming spaces like Corporate Commons into vibrant, community-centered hubs and for their philanthropic efforts, including their commitment to education. Notably, the profits from Pienza Brick Oven Pizza Café, where the dinner was held, are reinvested into the Staten Island community, demonstrating the Nicotras’ dedication to making a difference.

The evening concluded with a heartfelt thanks to all attendees for their ongoing support of the College of Staten Island. Guests enjoyed the picturesque surroundings, delicious food, and the opportunity to reconnect with fellow alumni. See below for a full Photo Gallery of the evening.
