The College of Staten Island Art Gallery, located in the Center for the Arts, is proud to present Howard Smith: Less and More, a solo exhibition of abstract paintings and drawings from across a 50-year career of sustained studio practice.

The gallery opens today and runs Monday through Thursday from 12-4pm through October 17. An Artist’s Reception will be held on Thursday, September 19 from 4:30-6:30pm.

Howard Smith: Less and More features “Universes” of miniature paintings presented in open structure arrangements, quasigrids, and other works from an internationally renowned artist who has taught at CSI for 35 years.
