On behalf of the departments of Operations and Reprographics, with the enthusiastic support of Finance and OIT, we are all pleased to announce that 34 new multi-function copiers have been ordered for delivery and installation throughout the campus and are scheduled to be ready for use in the next three to six weeks.

Continuing the consolidation that started in the 1A and 2A Pilot Program, most of the new copiers will replace two to three old machines.  However, unlike the Pilot Program–the majority of new equipment will remain in one department and will be installed within department walls. All users will be able to collect prints at any networked copier with their Dolphin Card (or a PIN) for security and  privacy. Our CSI Office of Information Technology will be working with the vendor to install the networking software, provide user access, and ensure that comprehensive training is available.

This purchase, configured after exhaustive field work, consultation, and financial assessment, will result in a cost savings of more than $160k for the College over three years and will provide new reporting capabilities to improve our “fleet” management.

While waiting for the new machines, please remember that Reprographics is at your disposal from 8:00am to 4:00pm to produce printed materials; (you can click on this user-friendly link to place an order.

Lastly, we know that you will do your part to continue reducing costs and protecting our environment by distributing your written materials electronically whenever possible.
