Please mark your calendars:
The Office of Recruitment and Admissions will be hosting Admitted Student Conferences (ASC) for newly admitted undergraduate students on the following dates:
- Saturday, Apr. 5 from 10:00am to 2:00pm. in the Center for the Arts ( Building 1P)
- Sunday, Apr. 27 from 10:00am to 2:00pm in the Center for the Arts (Building 1P)
The ASC is designed to inform students and their parents/guardians about the many opportunities available to them at CSI with the goal that they accept our offer of admission and enroll at the College. At past events, students and their families have been particularly eager to hear directly from faculty members and staff about specific academic programs and student services. I strongly encourage you to send a representative to this program so that you can recruit and familiarize newly admitted students about CSI’s offerings as they build their academic plans. Where possible, we will accommodate special program/department/school-specific sessions and tours.
On average, 70-75% of students who attend an ASC enroll at the College. This is a great opportunity to help students explore and discover majors, minors, and other programs.
The event will begin at 10:00am. We plan to offer at least the following options (subject to change, and times are still being configured):
- Academic and Student Services Fair from 10:00am-2:00pm
- Divisional/School Presentations for Admitted Students
- Campus Tours – 10:00am-1:00pm
- Enrollment Services (Admissions, Financial Aid, Advisement, and more)
- Housing Workshop
We would like to have representation from all departments for their respective division/school session and to participate in the fair.
Special lab/facility tours for academic departments can be accommodated immediately following the respective Divisional/School sessions.
I ask that you please confirm your department’s attendance at these events by contacting Emily Jordan in the Office of Recruitment and Admissions at Emily.Jordan@csi.cuny.edu or 718.982.2016 by Friday, Mar. 21.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
